Egolf oversees the Bureau's annual budget of approximately one million dollars and directs all sales and marketing initiatives waged by the Bureau in its mission to promote Greater St. Charles as a destination for leisure visits, meetings, conventions, motorcoach trips, and sports events. A graduate of Pennsylvania's Elizabethtown College with a BA in Communication Arts, Amy brought 18 years' experience in Illinois' hospitality industry when she joined the SCCVB team in October 2005. Six tourism marketing projects conceived and executed by Amy (including the 2008 SCCVB Visitors Guide) have received "Best of" awards at the annual Illinois Governor's Conference on Tourism, and it was under her direction that the Bureau was named 2011 #1 CVB in Illinois (populations 40,000 and under) by the readers of Illinois Meetings and Events Magazine.
Karen Brennan, Sales Manager Phone Extension # 107 Karen, the newest member of the SCCVB staff, joined the team in January 2013 as a Sales Manager. A seasoned sales professional, Karen was previously Sales Manager at Chicago's Navy Pier Festival Hall. In her new role, Karen will focus on identificantion of events in the association, education, religious, fraternal and corporate markets. Karen will represent Greater St. Charles by participating in Meet in Illinois, a niche sales committee of the Illinois Council of Convention & Visitors Bureaus designed to sell the entire state as a meetings destination. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Karen has been a resident of the Fox Valley area since 2001 and currently lives in Geneva with her husband, Chris, and two children.
Michelle Cianferri, Sales Manager Phone Extension # 101 Michelle joined our team in May 2009 as a part time Sales Manager. Michelle brings significant experience to the position, having worked both in hotels and the convention & visitors bureau realm. Her enthusiasm in building relationships with planners as well as suppliers ensures "win win" events. Michelle's primary concentration is the Tour and Travel Market, as well as prospecting for new group business. During her "down time," she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She has been an MPI member and served as co-chair for the annual MPI-CAC Golf Outing following several years' tenure with the event's coordination. As a testament to her MPI service, Michelle was nominated for the MPI CAC Rising Star Award. Michelle, who attended Loop College and Loyola University has hotel as well as bureau experience rounding out her hospitality sales resume. .
DeAnn Wagner, Operations Manager Phone Extension # 102 With a B.S. degree in business administration and eight years' hospitality experience (four in St. Charles), DeAnn joined the Bureau in 2007 and has since been a crticial part of the team. DeAnn oversees the operations of the office, with responsibilities ranging from in-house accounting procedures to ensuring that state grant requirements are being met, as well as being first point of contact for in-house technology needs. A St. Charles resident, DeAnn enjoys floral photography, scrapbooking and card making in her free time.
Diane Lynch, Communications & Administrative Support Phone Extension #104 Well-respected throughout the local tourism community, Diane worked at Pheasant Run Resort for more than 36 years before joining the SCCVB team. Diane makes certain information about all events and hotel packages are current and posted on www.visitstcharles.com and sent to the Illinois Bureau of Tourism for state-wide promotion. Diane also provides group servicing and coordinates temporary staffing for meetings and conventions held in St. Charles. Diane is the mother of three daughters who live with their families in the surrounding community. She has traveled extensively, including an annual spring break international trip with her grandchildren.
